The Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare recommends an average daily intake of vegetables of approximately 350g or more.
However, the actual intake has been declining year by year. How can we eat more vegetables?

Nonoji develops a variety of products with the keywords "delicious, long-lasting eating" and "easy to use." This "Root Vegetable Frill Salad Kezuri-na" was developed with root vegetables in mind, after considering whether it was possible to create a soft texture similar to that of salad leafy vegetables.

First, we tried shaving the root vegetable using our popular product, the Super Light Cabbage Peeler, which has been well-received for its ability to produce the fluffy shredded cabbage you'd expect from tonkatsu restaurants.

However, when they tried to pull a radish, it was heavy and the blade dug in too much. They realized that they needed to develop a blade that was suitable for root vegetables, and so they began their research.

After considering various factors, the following three conditions emerged:
❶ To improve sharpness, cut diagonally, like "slicing."
❷To prevent skidding, use some kind of serrated blade, not a flat blade.
❸ To maintain sharpness for a long time, the blade should not be made thin, but rather should have a certain thickness.

We further researched the tip angle. We used the shape of airplane wings, which have less air resistance, as a reference. We found that the shape of the wings of the Stealth B -2 bomber was the best, and designed a blade for shaving root vegetables. We obtained a patent for the Micro Triangular Blade and released it to the world.

This "micro triangular blade" achieves the development goal of "giving root vegetables a soft texture like salad leafy vegetables."
