You can easily enjoy the natural sweetness of tomatoes without the wateriness.

The "Tomato Peeler III" is a peeler that can easily peel tomatoes very thinly without the need to blanch them.

Since the tomatoes are not boiled and peeled, they do not become watery, and you can enjoy the rich sweetness of the tomatoes directly.

The unique concave curved blade curves along the curves of the tomato, allowing it to fit perfectly to the surface of the tomato.
This allows you to shave off the surface to a uniform thickness without any unevenness.

It is most effective for peeling round ingredients such as kiwi, apple, potato, cucumber, and radish.

The uniquely developed wedge-shaped comb blade has jagged, comb-like edges, each with a sharp wedge shape, which penetrates the smooth surface of the tomato and cuts it open.
Compared to a typical straight-blade peeler, the blade bites smoothly without sliding sideways, allowing you to peel with very little force.
The scraping marks leave small wavy marks, making it easier for dressings and other items to get caught.

●This large stem remover can be used to remove potato sprouts.

●Uses an elastomer grip that fits comfortably in your hand and is easy to hold.

●Simple design that is easy to wash and hygienic.

● Comes with a clip-on blade cover for safe storage.

*The skin of a tomato contains more nutrients than the flesh, so if the tomato is fully ripe, we recommend consuming it with the skin on.
When unripe, tomatoes contain some of the bitter compound piperidine acid.
This piperidine acid changes into the umami component glutamic acid as the tomato ripens and turns red, but this change stops the moment the tomato is harvested.
In Japan, tomatoes are often harvested while still green due to distribution reasons, and even if they appear ripe and red on the shelves, they may still be sold with a high content of benzyl alcohol in the skin, without an increased glutamate content.

Tomatoes also contain a substance called an alkaloid glycoside (tomatine) around the skin.
This is a bitter substance produced in tomatoes to ward off germs and pests.
The tomatine content in tomatoes decreases to a level that is imperceptible to humans as they ripen.
You can avoid this bitterness by peeling the tomatoes if they are not fully ripe.

Quick facts about tomatoes

Tomatoes contain a lot of lycopene, which is said to be effective in preventing lifestyle-related diseases and slowing down aging, and linoleic acid, which is said to have a fat-burning effect.
Lycopene is a pigment found not only in the flesh of tomatoes but also in their skin. By thinly peeling the skin, you can get more lycopene.

More than just tomatoes!

In addition to tomatoes, it can be used on a variety of vegetables, including radishes, carrots, eggplants, and apples, as well as soft, easily crumbled fruits such as kiwi and peaches.
Peeling the peppers will reveal a surprising fruit-like flavor, so be sure to give it a try.
