On June 4th, the South African Ambassador to Japan, who is cooperating with the Greful Seed Story series, visited the Interior Life Show at Big Sight.
The Republic of South Africa, together with Florida, USA, which we mentioned recently, accounts for over 90% of Japan's grapefruit imports. The seasons are split between Florida (November to May) and South Africa (June to October), and the Ambassador's visit this time was an unusual one, coinciding with the start of the South African grapefruit season.

■Grapefruit Seed Story Grapefruit squeezer special tasting corner

■The tasting corner was bustling with excitement, with many excited voices saying things like, "Oh, this is sweet," and "This is delicious."

■ Explaining the product to Ambassador Peko

■He immediately tried the wine with his companion, Counsellor Dingile. They both seemed very satisfied, saying it was "amazing" and "the bitter taste has disappeared."

After the tasting, Counsellor Dingile and our Sales Manager, Mr. Watanabe, shook hands firmly and vowed to work together to spread the word about South African grapefruit and the grapefruit seed-picking story.

■Ambassador Peko showed interest in other products and tried out the new Nonoji Cabbage Peeler Light for herself. She said that since cabbage is commonly eaten in South Africa, she would like to try using this julienne peeler.

■Finally, we took a commemorative photo with our staff. It was a short time in their busy schedules, but we hope they had a wonderful time.
